FACES Trend Report: The top 13 menswear trends for spring/summer 2026

Menswear trends for spring/summer 2026 are anything but basic. Comfort reigns, with easy cuts and loose fits that feel like summer – but with a touch of luxury designer oasis. Pyjama looks, polished boho, oversized Bermudas and retro seventies micro shorts provide the yummy vibes. Flip-flops and weekender bags also make for the ultimate #finishthelook.

The top 13 menswear trends for spring/summer 2026

So that you can integrate them into your closet soon enough.

1. polished boho: free in spirit, targeted in detail

Washed-out neutrals, casual knitwear, natural textures and handmade prints ensure lived-in energy and carefully staged boho chaos. Our highlight: Dries Van Noten’s sarong – offbeat but eye-catching.

2nd Print Player: Shirts with a leading role attitude

Printed shirts that can almost be seen from the moon: Bright florals, abstract graphics and bold colors in combination with liquid tailoring or clean separates are the contrast booster. Our highlight: the abstract watch print shirt from 3.Paradis, combined with ultra-high-waisted liquid pants and a matching pouch bag.

3. micro shorts: sexy seventies throwback

Ralph Lauren on the ranch, a young Schwarzenegger on Venice Beach, Björn Borg on the center court: the upcoming menswear refreshes these iconic looks. Thanks to micro shorts combined with tucked knitwear, oversized blazers, outerwear and school socks. Our highlight: Julian Klausner at Dries Van Noten delivers the almost painfully short, kicky print shorts.

4. oversized Bermudas: volume plus structure – and without chico-vibes

The upcoming Bermudas are wide and shaped. Flowing, but never sloppy. Every look is intentional – thanks to crisp shirts, layered knits or complete blazer combinations. Our highlight: JW Anderson at Dior Men SS26 shows that Bermudas can also be architecture by fabric.

5. jumpsuits: gallery, not garage.

This spring and summer, jumpsuits are casually entering the menswear vocabulary: clean lines, fine fabrics, structured without being stiff. Our highlight: IM Men presents the sage green jumpsuit with belt and blasé sophistication.

6. striped trousers: from the office to the aperò

Pinstripes? Absolutely. But away with stiff tradition – instead soft, relaxed and mixed with color. The lines are particularly eye-catching on pants. Our highlight: Louis Vuitton’s liquid chinos in dusty turquoise with cinnamon stripes, paired with a silk shirt, butter-soft leather trench and flip-flops.

7 Liquid Layering: Smooth Operator

Flowing fabrics, loose-fitting blazers, wide pants – all layered, but smart. Menswear trends for spring/summer 2026 focus on soft silhouettes, clever layered looks and maximum ease. Nothing looks deliberate, everything looks skillful. Our highlight: clearly Ziggy Chen. His linen layering and earthy tones are guaranteed to create a relaxed vibe.

8. casual knitted sweaters : Aprés-Surf-Chill

Knitwear in easy mode: light, relaxed, with a touch of low-key luxury. Ribs, mesh, gauze, drop shoulders – that’s what it feels like. Our highlight: Giorgio Armani’s meerschaum mesh knit sweater over wide pants, with a belt and utilitarian finish.

From left: Giorgio Armani, Hermès, White Mountaineering, Dolce & Gabbana

9. chunky knit polos : country club core

The preppy polo is back – but this time as a chunky knit. An ideal combination with another SS26 trend, the liquid trousers. Our highlight: Hermès’ gradient chunky knit polo, styled with cropped cream chinos and leather thong sandals.

10. pyjama dressing: Sleep when you’re dead

Whether silk co-ords, robe jackets or striped pyjama sets: All of them are always soft, but also always dashing. Our highlight: Dolce & Gabbana ensures waking dreams – oversized with candy stripes, including a tank top and flip-flops.

11. the scarf: around the head and collar

The scarf is back – not as a functional piece, but rather as a final detail. Our highlight: Acne Studios makes it disruptive with a light off-white scarf over a sea-green polo and color-spotted jeans. Deliberately pedantic.

12. flip-flops: more than just a summer basic

Flip-flops are becoming more sophisticated and personal: leather straps, sculptural soles, combined with liquid pants or soft tailoring. Our highlight: Prada delivers chestnut toe loops with fine stitching, clean lines and zero fluff.

From left: Dolce & Gabbana, Hermès, Prada, Yohji Yamamoto

13th The Weekender: Ready, Set, Private Jet

Thank god it’s Friday! The weekender bag is themen’s bag for SS26. Our highlight: Dries Van Noten’s sculpted weekender in peach brown and slate blue leather – for all retro-futurists.

The menswear trends for spring/summer 2026 are fresh, break codes and bend traditional menswear with blasé confidence. The message? Work smart, play hard, repeat.
