Arrivederci!
That’s it, off we go. This is roughly how three pensioners imagine their retirement when they decide to emigrate together. Leave Rome behind, turn your back on Italy. But where should the journey actually go? And is everything really better on the other side of the border? What the French can do with “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis”, the Italians have been able to do for a long time, and so “Citoyens du Monde” is a refreshing film about leaving, about traveling and about the fact that people always want to go where they can’t be. “Citoyens du Monde”, from 27. Okay, we have to stay at home for the most part, traveling across Europe at most, but saving the flights across the globe for other years when no virus ruins our plans. The good news – quite apart from the fact that we are finally learning that our own country may not have an exotic kitsch beach, but it does have places to offer for which we collect tons of likes on Instagram: The global carbon footprint in 2020 is better than it has been for years. We are good and book our vacation in our own country. Boring? Certainly not, or have you ever spent the night in an alpine hut in the Bernese Oberland, enjoyed the view out into the countryside and spent the evening in the wooden hot tub? Exactly. Yeti.ch offers six different alpine huts from rustic to luxurious and from 950 per week. The cows graze outside, the fire crackles inside and we simply switch off our smartphones and tablets. Up here it goes
about wanting to, not about having to. Hike, walk, relax and simply enjoy being here. www.yeti.ch
