Yes, we know it’s not just about looks. But when you look at the Toyota Aygo X, it’s hard not to be impressed by its looks. The Belgian design team has done a great job: the sleek high-tech headlights, the large grille, the fog lights, the underride guard and the paint finish ranging from ginger to chili to cardamom… well, what can we say: we’re in love! Thanks to the elevated seating position, we feel right at home in the new Toyota Aygo X. We can also look out through the fabric sunroof or let the sun shine on our bespectacled faces in good weather. After all, the sunglasses are somehow part of the driving experience when we come around the bends in this sleek little beauty. Incidentally, we do this in a particularly maneuverable way, even if the trunk can easily accommodate the entire Saturday shopping. When it comes to technology, Toyota has really stepped on the gas again: Four speakers with a 300W amplifier and a 200mm subwoofer provide powerful bass and great sound, plus a 9-inch HD touchscreen, ambient lighting, wireless device charging, the pre-collision system, pedestrian detection and collision mitigation. And the fact that the new Toyota Aygo X remains so economical and inexpensive despite all the gimmicks makes us raise both thumbs at the end!
