Short Story
Patrick Pierazzoli, Editor-in-Chief
You wouldn’t necessarily assume that the best shorts come from Amsterdam. On the other hand, there are enough coffee shops there to come up with the most adventurous business ideas over an after-work coffee. In any case, Mr. Marvis have set themselves the goal of making the perfect shorts. I’m not a big fan of shorts and I don’t think men’s legs should be on show without being asked, except on the beach, during sports, on the boat, at home or in temperatures above 30 degrees. Someone always has to look at it. Luckily, Mr Marvis realized that their seamstresses in Portugal – where they have their products made by hand – can also make long pants with just a little more fabric. So now they also have the perfect chinos on offer (“Avenue Longs”, approx. 109.-, mrmarvis.de). I’m all for chinos, especially since I found one in light blue in the large color palette. Summer can be light blue. And if I’m unexpectedly invited on a yacht turn, the perfect shorts are just a scissor cut away.
Fortune
Marina Warth, Deputy Director Editor-in-Chief
Sometimes happiness needs a kick up the ass. There’s red laundry on New Year’s Eve, pigs and shamrocks for the semester exam, horseshoes on the wall and ladybugs made of chocolate. Waving cats come into play in China, blue glass amulets in Turkey and a fish in Japan, which now also decorates my bathroom. And in soap form, black, just the way I like it, and secured with a cord so that it doesn’t get lost between the waves of life. It’s a red snapper, and it smells of brown sugar (Muscovado, “Welcome Soap”, approx. 36.-). Do I believe in it, in happiness? Yes. And lucky charms? A little, at least that’s how I see it: it certainly doesn’t do any harm, any more than believing in Santa Claus.
Drops of water

It’s not that easy to lead a good, healthy and exemplary life. Less and less time, but more and more things that we should pay attention to: the job, the environment, staying fit, saving money and being happy somewhere in between. Fitness also includes nutrition and drinking, one of the most important components of staying healthy. Sure, I jump at something like Waterdrop like a child at a colorful lollipop. Waterdrop adds fruit and plant extracts to water, is sugar-free, refreshing and so delicious that I easily down three liters a day. Relax, Love, Youth Boost… there are various additives, but Zen is my favorite. The design of the bottle is cool, and since it can be reused, I’m killing one more fly in the ointment, namely reducing my PET consumption.
