7.11., Opening Audi Charging Hub, Zurich
Zurich feels honored. This is because the Swiss city is only the second place in the world to be adorned with an Audi charging hub. On 7. That’s why we headed towards Messe Zürich on November 1, where we will now give our electric car a break more often. Here, all signs point to sustainability: solar panels supply the electricity, recycled lithium-ion batteries from decommissioned vehicles provide the material for the charging cubes, in which up to 60 vehicles fill up with new energy every day. While the cars were charging, we sipped champagne and tested the new app, which can be used to conveniently reserve charging slots. What felt like a glimpse into the future is now a reality. And one that makes us happy in terms of our sustainability vision.
Highlight: The modular charging cubes made from used batteries.
Conclusion: Electricity is the new gasoline.
