30.8.-9.9.23, Cartier Celebration 80th Venice International Film Festival – Biennale Cinema 2023 Lido di Venezia
“Film off” was the motto until the 9th. September once again in Italy’s lagoon city. It was the 80th anniversary. The Venice International Film Festival was being held for the sixth time. And once again this year, the stars of the film scene sparkled on the red carpet in a flurry of camera flashes before enjoying the champagne at Cartier’s after-party. Cartier, the main sponsor of the event, gathered the crème de la crème of the silver screen at the Lido di Venezia. The guest list? An absolute who’s who: Emma Corrin from “The Crown”, Maude Apatow from the hit series “Euphoria” and Luca Guadagnino, the director of “Call Me by Your Name”, were among those present – just as a small sample. The art of filmmaking was toasted in style and good humor, while the Cartier jewelry pieces shone with their celebrity wearers.
Highlight: The guest list, of course.
Conclusion: Truman Capote was so right when he said: “Venice is like eating a whole box of liqueur chocolates in one sitting.”
