Thursday evening, June 12. While Heidi searched for the next top model on TV, around 100 people sat in Zurich’s Labor Bar and watched, but not alone on the sofa, but together with Yannik Zamboni and vegan finger food on a napkin.

What happens when fashion meets good, vegan food? An evening like this: around thirty visitors gathered in Zurich’s Labor Bar before the public viewing of the latest GNTM episode, along with a finger food workshop and a pop-up store by Maison Blanche. The evening was organized by Yannik Zamboni and Wild Foods, a Bernese Oberland company that makes one thing above all else: vegetable delicacies. Vegan, seasonal and sustainable. Sometimes they do pop-ups, sometimes workshops, sometimes they collaborate with people like Yannik. The main thing is that it tastes good and perhaps also makes you think a little.

Not the first time
The fact that Yannik Zamboni and Wild Foods get on so well is no coincidence – the two are linked by the founding of “The Vegetable’s Club”. What sounds like a secret vegetable cult was actually a photo shoot that laid the foundations for a creative social hub. Photographer Iris Brosch staged models and designer pieces in the midst of fresh vegetables from food rescues. An exciting project that whetted the appetite for more and brought the two partners closer together. It was precisely this connection that could be experienced at the public viewing with Yannik and the Wild Foods finger food workshop, an evening in which sustainable enjoyment and fashion naturally went hand in hand. And one thing is certain: this won’t be the last time Yannik Zamboni and Wild Foods work together on new ideas.

Far from finished cooking
Far from finished cooking
And it continues. Neomi Gamliel, who led the finger food workshop, is currently working on her first cookbook: “YEAH! (What’s on the menu now?)”. In it, she shows how delicious and varied vegan cuisine can be.
