12.8., A.E. Köchert Jewelry Brunch 2023, St.Peter Stiftskulinarium, Salzburg
I wonder if the emperor brunched? If so, then certainly in the style of the jewelers A. E. Köchert: in good company and with lots of bling-bling. “Jewelry Brunch” is the name of the annual fun event at which the latest pieces of jewelry are shown and which takes place as part of the Salzburg Festival. It is no coincidence that the Austrian family business knows how to celebrate imperial style, as the emperor himself was once one of the jewelers’ customers. As this year’s festival brunch showed, the label is at least as good at celebrating as it is at making jewelry: In the arcades of the St. Peter Stiftskulinarium in Salzburg, the oldest documented restaurant in Europe, guests were treated to a delicious brunch on the 12th. August the latest jewelry creations of the house are presented. One thing in particular became clear: starting the day with brunch is a good thing. But starting the weekend with brunch and bijoux is even better.
Highlight: The sparkling bling, of course.
Conclusion: Brunch without champagne – and jewelry – is just a sad breakfast.
