In London, one tourist attraction leads to the next. But you can also see the city from perspectives other than Tower Bridge or the upper deck of a double-decker bus. Documentary and street photographer Ovidiu Selaru has been doing just that for nearly twenty years. A native of Romania, he moved to the British capital and has been capturing it ever since with depth, humor, and sensitivity. The photo book “London in Frames,” published by teNeues, brings together his best impressions from the past sixteen years in London.

London in Frames
No matter how hectic everyday life in London gets, Ovidiu Selaru calmly captures its most beautiful moments. The Romanian has been documenting his adopted home for nearly two decades. “London in Frames” is a “best of” collection showcasing his unique perspective on the metropolis. Selaru’s inspirations include his father, who was a painter, as well as photography legends such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Tony Ray-Jones—with whom he can easily hold his own.
