At FACES, we don’t see our job as merely reporting—we want to help shape who will be the next to join our ranks. For the 2027 edition of the Emerging Talent Awards, we’re teaming up with LE BOOK for the Photography Award.
This isn’t just a logo swap or a footnote. Two names trusted by the industry are throwing their full weight behind a single up-and-coming talent behind the camera.
LE BOOK: The Industry Directory
For decades, LE BOOK has been at the intersection of fashion, photography, film, and creative culture—not as an observer, but as the link that holds the industry together. That’s where stylists, casting directors, photographers, and brands turn when they’re looking for the right eye, the right touch, and the right vision. Such trust isn’t built overnight, but by consistently investing in the talent that shapes the future.
The Emerging Talent Awards are the clearest embodiment of this mission: to discover photographers whose perspectives are just beginning to shape visual culture—and to give them a platform to do so. They are exactly the kind of partner we want to stand alongside.
Why We’re Letting Them Use Our Name for This
We didn’t create FACES to tell our readers who’s already made it, but rather who’s next. LE BOOK finds the talent and vouches for it; we give it a real platform. Together, the 2027 winner won’t just be discovered—they’ll be launched—by two names the industry already trusts.
What It’s All About
We don’t do things halfway. The winner of the 2027 Photography Award will receive $15,000, sponsored by the Moniker Foundation, plus the chance to conceive and produce an eight-page fashion spread for FACES—with full artistic freedom, from concept to finished image, published in our magazine and visible to the entire industry.
And this isn’t just sponsorship from the sidelines: Our founder and owner, Stefan Berger, personally serves on the jury.
What We’re Looking For
The Emerging Talent Awards have never been about fitting into an existing mold of photography. We’re looking for new voices that push the medium forward—whether in fashion, portraiture, documentary photography, still life, or a practice that defies definition. A distinctive perspective. A body of work that makes you pause. The will to go further. This year, “going further” comes with a fashion spread and $15,000.
