In his exhibition from 11. to 13. June 2021, artist and furniture designer Fabian Bolliger proves that there is more potential in a piece of furniture than just ending up as an ordinary piece of furniture in the corner.
Off I go: Trained carpenter Fabian Bolliger spent several months traveling the world and discovered his new passion. He became acquainted with a wide variety of art forms and acquired his very own style with the combination of furniture design and art. In his eyes, furniture should tell a story, express feelings and experiences and make the viewer or owner think. After all, conventional furnishing styles are something of a paradox: we hope for individual and unique furnishings, but buy pieces of furniture that are mass-produced so that the living room ends up looking like the one in the department store catalog. In Fabian Bolliger’s exhibition, which runs from 11. to 13.
