Reunion at Mode Suisse: 20th anniversary edition
In keeping with the early autumn weather, Volans and SOL SOL ITO presented their swimwear in muted colors and with trumpet sleeves.
Vladislav Rüegger from F+F Modedesign Zurich was inspired by his birthplace Balaclava (Crimea) in Russia, where the balaclava was invented.
Abstract patterns and metal details adorn the collection by HEAD – Genève designer Sarah Bounab.
The Nomadissem collection was inspired by Japan and the concept of Ikigai – a concept for living in harmony.
The show was opened by Nina Yuun x Leonie Risch with characteristic, lasting elegance.
Mourjjan x Ginny Litscher took the audience on a colorful journey with her collection.
Lida Noba presented an energetic and lively collection.
Leonardo Anic from F+F Modedesign Zurich whetted our appetite for winter with a hoodie.
With knitwear, bright colors and playful cuts, Jacqueline Loekito and Tobias Gutman brought back childhood memories.
With her debut collection, designer Céline Schmid from HEAD – Genève focused on the everyday imperfections of a classic wardrobe.
The young Zurich label Casella Meyer staged a very special live performance with air-brush art on site.
Besime Sasivari from F+F Modedesign Zurich was inspired by concepts of mimicry and mimesis as well as the mechanisms and processes of perception.
Playful details and ruffles as far as the eye can see at Amorphose.

The 20th anniversary edition of Mode Suisse not only impressed with magnificent collections from eleven Swiss designers – but also with its choice of location.

You can’t get die-hard Zurich residents to come to Altstetten. You bet? When Yannick Aellen, creator of the Mode SuisseIf a fashion show invitation beckons, they all come. And so journalists, influencers, buyers and co. had the opportunity to visit the 30. August 2021 in Hall D in District 9 to marvel at the latest collections from the kitchens of Switzerland’s crème de la crème of fashion designers. amorphous and other designers conjured up on the catwalk of the industrial location provided sunshine on this rainy Monday evening. There was joy in the air – perhaps also because, after three editions that went a little differently due to the pandemic, Mode Suisse shone in new splendor, at least as much as the fashion crowd, who still preferred to greet each other with a cautious wave rather than kisses left and right. Back on the catwalk: while Nina Yuun’s models literally floated across the industrial floor in elegant fringed dresses and elaborately crafted gowns, the swimwear collection from Volans x SOL SOL ITO With its trumpet sleeves and muted colors, the new look was completely in keeping with the early autumn weather that was raging outside Hall D in Zurich Altstetten. After the show, people gathered next door to marvel at the collections and chat with the designers, who incidentally source their clothing and accessories from the September 3 to 2.
