For Dries Van Noten Men’s Spring/Summer 2027, Creative Director Julian Klausner drew inspiration from “L’Après-midi d’unfaune”^—Stéphane Mallarmé’s 1876 poem about a mystical creature hovering between dream and reality. Rather than translating the story literally, Klausner translated its dreamlike atmosphere into a collection of feather-light fabrics, flowing silhouettes, and sun-bleached colors.
The collection is defined by its airy fabrics and sun-bleached color palette. Washed-out peach tones, faded pistachio green, washed-out sky blue shades, sandy neutrals, and watery greens look as if they’ve spent an entire summer under the Mediterranean sun. Faded floral prints, subtle camouflage, country checks, and shimmering embellishments add depth to the looks without disrupting their understated elegance.
Relaxed tailoring, flowing pants, and short shorts emphasize the effortless lightness of the collection. One of Dries Van Noten’s greatest strengths has always been that his runway styling never seems out of reach. Every runway look feels complete and seems designed to be worn exactly as it is presented on the runway.
Our favorite looks:

Although the collection appears softer and more relaxed than previous Dries Van Noten men’s spring/summer collections, it never loses the brand’s identity. Klausner focuses on flowing lines and lighter silhouettes without compromising the strength of the masculine wardrobe. The characteristic blend of extraordinary fabrics, clever prints, and unexpected layering remains unmistakably Dries Van Noten.
