David Koma’s vision for Blumarine is driven by an unabashedly tactile philosophy. If his designs for the brand had a “love language,” it would be tenderness. His clothing clings closely to the skin: fabrics drape, are ruffled, accentuate, and reveal—thus making the body itself part of the design.
For Spring-Summer 2027, this intimacy is filtered through a sweet, sun-kissed “California Dreamin’ .” Camisoles, structured tops, and lingerie-inspired jersey cling closely to the figure, while sheer floral dresses, tiny shorts, and second-skin ensembles reveal the body beneath lightweight fabrics. Even when volume makes an appearance, it remains focused on the body: feathers gather at the hips and shoulders, tulle spills out from the hems, and ruffles trace the silhouette.
What keeps the collection from veering into excessive cuteness is Koma’s use of contrasts. Distressed denim, college T-shirts, and surf-inspired touches break up the dusty pink, purple, and light blue floral patterns. Sequins mimic the glisten of water, floral motifs stretch across PVC and lace, while oversized gemstones and metal flowers push the embellishment to the point of excess.

The Blumarine Spring-Summer 2027 collection exudes a feigned innocence. Pastel shades, floral patterns, and girlish details suggest sweetness, while the clothing itself remains deliberately sensual. The sweetness is the prelude, not the conclusion.

For Spring-Summer 2027, UGG® and Blumarine are reinterpreting the new Enwrap Clog exclusively for the runway. One version is framed by a silver cage studded with colorful cabochon stones; the other is adorned with white and lavender ostrich feathers. California casual chic meets Blumarine extravagance, transforming the familiar clog into something decidedly more glamorous.
