Whether we like it or not, change is an integral part of our world. With the theme of “Shift”, the Design Biennale Zurich 2023 is dedicated to this constant change and will be presenting the latest trends from 1. until the 19. September 2023 in the Old Botanical Garden with various design installations.
Change – sometimes we like it, sometimes we hate it. But they don’t really give a damn what we think of them, because that’s where they are anyway. Because regardless of whether it’s a new wrinkle on your face or changing environmental conditions: Constant change is part of our everyday lives. The organizers of the Design Biennale Zurich are well aware of this and have taken this topic to heart. “Shift” is this year’s motto and will be interpreted for the Biennale by designers from a wide range of fields. The question they have in mind: What influence can design actually have on the small and large changes in this world? We can see the results from 1. until the 19. September 2023 to find out. The various interpretations will then be exhibited in the form of fifteen design installations in the Old Botanical Garden in Zurich. However, the program of the Design Biennale Zurich 2023 is not yet complete. That’s why, in addition to the exhibition, we can look forward to various guided tours and designer speed dating – probably the first and only speed date where there will be no mindless conversation.
