To sample some of the best restaurants in the world, you only need to travel to one destination this summer: The Dolder Grand in Zurich and its gourmet festival The Epicure. Here are some samples of the program.

This occasion melts in the mouth. And leaves behind aromas that you have never tasted before in your life. For the ninth edition of The Epicure, top chefs from twelve countries will be making guest appearances alongside Heiko Nieder, chef de cuisine at Dolder Grand’s The Restaurant. With 19 Gault Millau points and two Michelin stars, this is already one of the best addresses in Zurich. In the week from 2. to 7. July, however, the restaurant kitchen will become the world congress of the culinary elite.
On five evenings, Heiko Nieder and one of his invited star chefs will each create an 8-course menu characterized by the flair of the country of origin. Among the chefs who have traveled to the event are
- Vaughan Mabee. His restaurant Amisfield near Queenstown in New Zealand was named “Restaurant of the Year” by Cuisine Magazine from 2020 to 2023. The associated winery has also won awards.
- Norbert Niederkofler. The South Tyrolean learned his trade all over the world. His innovative and sustainable Alpine cuisine has earned him 3 Michelin stars and 1 Green Michelin star.
- Jan Hartwig. The German has more stars rising over Munich than a clear night sky. At least those from Michelin. Hartwig’s restaurant Jan was awarded three of these last year.

As the icing on the cake, eleven top chefs will gather on the last day for The Final. At the live cooking stations, the public can experience first-hand how their next culinary delight is created. The Epicure culminates in a relaxed atmosphere with live music and a cigar lounge.
