The best cinnamon buns in Zurich

Outside, the temperatures are dropping and everything is turning white : The time for cinnamon buns is here, and we have the best spots for you that stock this Scandinavian delicacy.

Collective Bakery
We already know this bakery from the pop-ups in various cafés and bars: the Collective Bakery has finally gained a foothold so that we can enjoy its delicious creations on a permanent basis. In addition to their famous chocolate rolls, they also offer equally delicious cinnamon buns, which we can’t say no to.

Devi Deli
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the vegan haven Devi Deli not only offers the run-of-the-mill cinnamon buns, but also pimps them up with sophisticated combinations! The clever bakers at @rollsinzuri.ch use strawberry or blueberry toppings and colorful icing that is not only pleasing to the palate but also to the eye. In addition, the Swedish cinnamon buns, also known as Kanelbullar, from @serizurich enchant us with their crispy shell! The products are organic, gluten-free and sugar-free whenever possible.

Moon Shop
The merger of White Rabbit Bakery and Kürzi Kako has resulted in the new Moon Shop store in Zurich Wiedikon. We find vegan cinnamon buns with a caramelized cinnamon filling, ones with a nut topping and chocolate buns! The ingredients are all plant-based, which rounds off the whole thing nicely.

Although it’s called Flughafebeck, it’s no longer just found there: there’s also a great demand for the bakery’s delicacies in the city of Zurich! The cinnamon bun not only impresses us with its crispy shell and moist core, but also with its price. There is already a second snail in there.

Tillsamman
Cinnamon buns originally come from Sweden. It goes without saying that this Swedish restaurant should not be missing from our list! At Tillsamman, we find the Swedish national pastry made from regional ingredients from Switzerland and thus get a culinary experience that takes us to the cold north in terms of taste.

Vollenweider
Sweet and crispy: a cinnamon bun dream! The Winterthur-based family business knows exactly how to manufacture. We enjoy Vollenweider’s cinnamon buns and experience what it means to eat history.

John Baker
Not every store is lucky enough to have cinnamon buns at John Baker: But at the bakery on Helvetiaplazu, our stomachs dance the samba! The organic bakery pays attention to sustainable and fair production, which means that our conscience can also rest easy.

Young
Cinnamon buns straight out of a picture book: At the Jung bakery, we come across large snails that make your mouth water just looking at them. No matter what time of day we pass by here, the first choice is and remains the cinnamony temptation.
