From farmer to animal rights activist: Dutchman Jaap Korteweg’s step couldn’t be bigger. Swine flu, mad cow disease and finally the sight of animals being killed gave Korteweg the idea of developing plant-based meat. What sounds so simple, however, was damn hard work.
