Zurich – Lions Section
Five guys, fresh sound. L Loko, Drini, Jordan Parat and MC Hero join forces as the Züri section and serve up the gangster rap that Zurich needs from the hood of the country’s biggest city. Drini and L Loko spent nights honing their first lyrics on YouTube and are now reaping the rewards – which has little to do with luck. These guys, as different as they are, are united by the same passion, and that’s what they work for. And hard.
Eros Ramazzotti – Still alive
All out of the way when Eros Ramazzotti fans storm the CD stores in mid-September for his new record, just as the now mid-20-year-olds did back then for the latest Bravo hits. The Italian is releasing his first album in four years, and next year he will be taking it around the world. “BATTITO INFINITO” the name of the tour, 58 the age of the singer, and no sign of retirement for the time being.
Alexandra Shipp – Power Actress
Memorize the text and deliver it. The least Alexandra Shipp could do. Since her starring role in “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B”, the film biopic about the artist of the same name who died all too young, the actress has thrown herself into the roles of strong black women and worked her ass off to tell their life stories as authentically as possible. She is not the only one who has great respect for her work.
Henriette Hell – Sex Writer
Two years traveling for sex with 20 men in eleven countries on four continents. Henriette Hell also wrote the book “Achtung, ich komme! Around the world in 80 orgasms” and landed a Spiegel bestseller. Why on earth did she do that? For better sex and because she is one of those women who have been doing her thing for a long time. Fittingly: “You can take me as I am: my pretty awesome life without a child and a career.”
Oliver Polak – Dee
If Tinder & Co. have long since failed to produce anything more than clumsy online flirts and bad one-night stands, all dating apps should be thrown in the garbage can. And that was it. Comedian and bestselling author Oliver Polak has tackled this tragic topic in his new novel, his first, and put into words what swipes and matches do to love in “L’amour numérique”. Chapeau for something completely new!
Shawn Levy – Cut
Large audiences have loved Shawn Levy’s films at least since “Night at the Museum”. Film critics don’t think so, no matter how many families the movies make laugh on the sofa. Even the Netflix hit “Stranger Things” has yet to win the director an Emmy in 20 years in the film business, but that is yet to come. Things are looking up for Levy, and the audience is treated to new material in the way Levy does best: warm-hearted and funny.
Siena Liggins – More Pop
Siena Liggins is the queer newcomer that the pop scene has long needed, even though the keyword diversity almost gets on her nerves. Neither skin color nor clothing style nor anything else makes her special, she says. The LGTBQ artist should be celebrated for her music, just like any other random pop star. The main thing is to have something to offer. And if one thing is clear to her, it is that there is enough room for everyone in the mainstream genre.
Julia Whelan – Storyteller
Julia Whelan loved acting, she still does, only Hollywood can stay stolen from her. The lifestyle was nothing, and she actually wanted to become an author. There is hardly any time for writing now, as she is currently one of the hottest voices in English-language audiobooks. She has already recorded hundreds and has now written another one of her own. The novel is called “Thank You for Listening”. And thank you for reading aloud.
Tanner Buchanan – Damn
Everyone has been going crazy over him since he appeared on Netflix in one or two leading roles. Tanner Buchanan is the name of the 23-year-old who is just starting out as an actor without having chased fame at all. In the movie “He’s All That”, a female TikToker turns him, a loser, into a real prom king. And in real life, he was persuaded to take part in the casting because he looked so nerdy. How hot – but unfortunately taken.
Cara Delevingne – Dirty Thirty
She’s wild! Because of the bushy eyebrows and because Cara Delevingne would probably have given up her modeling career for the visits to the tattoo studio without batting an eyelid. There are 20 of them. There’s a lion on the finger, a “Made in England” on the sole of the foot. What the heck. The supermodel has never behaved like one and is probably loved for that very reason. We congratulate you on your thirtieth birthday and say: stay wild!
