The Faces in March 2026

What are we consuming non-stop right now? Among other things, figure skating, movies and pop music. You can find out why by taking a closer look at our current heroes and heroines.

Odessa A’zion

CRISIS ACTOR

Faster than a ping-pong topspin, Odessa A’zion has landed at the top of Hollywood’s hot list. In the table tennis drama “Marty Supreme”, she is the secret star and in the series “I Love LA”, the Californian bounces through the scenes with the energy of a triple espresso shot. The German-American actress also overcame her first pseudo-crisis with flying colors: after she was cast in the role of a Latina, causing controversy, Odessa handed the part over to a colleague with insightful words and earned applause.

Loves L.A. and L.A. loves her.

Lakeith Stanfield

AMBASSADOR

Lakeith Stanfield played his first major leading role in “Sorry to Bother You”. Now the multi-talented actor (his first rap album is in the works) no longer needs to apologize for his performance. While vanilla cineastes are looking forward to “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, true fashion demons have marked the fashion satire “I Love Boosters” in fiery red on their cinema schedules, where Stanfield can soon be seen. And it’s not just Emily who has been roaming Paris for a while now, but also Lakeith: Jonathan Anderson has handpicked him as the new ambassador for Dior.

Brings many talents under one roof.

Gracie Abrams

CRUSH LANDING

Her father made two “Star Wars” films and produced “Lost”, one of the most talked about TV series of the 2000s. But if he wants to hear the really big wows!, J.J. Abrams should introduce himself as “Gracie Abrams’ dad” in future. Not only has she released two acclaimed pop albums (and has a new one on hold), but she is also launching her acting career in 2026 with a role in the drama “Please”. And “S’il te plaît” is hopefully what Chanel said when they made Gracie the new ambassador for the Coco Crush campaign.

A woman with talent to spare.

Harry Styles

KING CHARMS

As if our planet hadn’t already heated up enough. Now Harry Styles is celebrating his return and making our shirts even warmer. The title of his new album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” we want to embroider on our family crest with velvet. And for the upcoming tour, His Royal Styleness is turning the world’s most legendary stadiums into his living room: 12 concerts at Wembley Stadium and 30 gigs at Madison Square Garden are on the itinerary. Delusions of grandeur are allowed, occasionally.

Not in the picture: kissing and disco. What’s going wrong?

Alysa Liu

ICE ON FIRE

It would only be right if Alysa Liu were also awarded the golden hairspray can afterwards. After all, the American has already won a gold medal in figure skating at this year’s Winter Olympics. Thanks to her eye-catching styling, the youngest national champion in US history has won hearts around the world. From the Central Council of Former Emo Scene Kids to beauty tokers who have only been figure skating for five minutes, everyone agrees: please piourette like this more often.

Lamine Yamal

MESSI BEAUCOUP

There is only one reason for Spain’s national team not to take Lamine Yamal to the World Cup: At 18, he would be too young to buy a bottle of champagne at the gas station for the victory celebration. At his club FC Barcelona, the teenager is breaking all records and making the top scores of legends such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé pale into insignificance. “Everyone’s scared of him,” whispers team-mate Aymeric Laporte about the striker. Except for those who don’t desperately try to take the ball off him and experience great grassroots cinema in the process.

This is where the music plays in soccer.

Gita Gopinath

FUTURE TELLER

The WEF in Davos is Coachella for people who pay for LinkedIn Premium. But amidst all the chatter of economic gatekeepers and political priestesses, it’s difficult to spot the real main acts. Gita Gopinath is one of them. If you want to know what’s going on now with these tariffs, where this AI is heading and what’s really going to kick us in the butt in the end, you should listen carefully to the professor. As the former chief economist of the International Money Fund and a Harvard luminary, she provides us with crash courses for the coming crash.

Economists est omen.
Gita Gopinath

Hamza Yassin

WILD RIDE

This man? A real natural. Hamza Yassin spent his childhood in Sudan, learned English from David Attenborough’s animal documentaries and now lives in the Scottish Highlands – successfully emulating his idol Sir Attenborough. In his books and TV programs, Hamza inspires a new generation for all the crawling and humming, flapping and hopping in the wild. His enthusiasm is infectious, his expertise impeccable. And he reminds us that the most exciting feed can be found outside, between meadows and forests.

Not on the green carpet for once.

Tish Weinstock

DARK MATTERS

Can goths have fun? You don’t need to send Dracula on the Ferris wheel to find the answer. Just take a look at Tish Weinstock’s lifestyle columns. London’s blackest soul discontentedly drinks white wine for her beauty routine and has Haider Ackermann dress her for the ski slopes. But she still feels most comfortable in outfits that make even Wednesday Addams look like a float at the Rio Carnival. Even Charlie xcx, who cast Tish for her acting debut in the film “The Moment”, takes notice.

Tish doesn’t usually get that colorful.

Julien Creuzet

ART OF ANCESTRY

Digital avatars are just as much a part of his art as a grain of rice. Julien Creuzet immerses himself in the colonial history of the Caribbean, explores the new shores of technical possibilities and makes waves with his exhibitions. His Afrofuturistic works are sensual, politically charged and in demand. Julien recently wowed the crowds at Art Basel Miami. Anyone who missed the summit meeting of all art enthusiasts in open silk shirts can get to know Creuzet’s oeuvre anew thanks to the documentary “IRL/url” presented by the Chanel Culture Funds.

Art that is anything but flimsy.

Jennette McCurdy

MIND THE GAP

There are usually only a few years between child star and problem child. Those who are pushed too steeply up the ladder of success too early often fall deeply and tragically. That could have been the fate of Jennette McCurdy, who rose to fame with the series “iCarly”. But the former actress has not only survived her old profession, she has also found a new calling. Her debut novel “Half His Age” is currently causing a sensation – partly because the story of a problematic relationship with a large age difference is based on her own experiences.

From iCarly to iCon of pop literature.
