A new chapter – and a manifestation of vision, craftsmanship and zeitgeist: With La Beauté, the Maison Louis Vuitton now presents its first make-up collection – entering a terrain that is as intimate as it is expressive.
She is the woman who has been shaping the face – or rather the faces – of the fashion world for decades: Pat McGrath. Now she is leaving her unmistakable signature in a new profession: as Creative Director Cosmetics, she has made a significant contribution to the development of the first Louis Vuitton make-up line in recent years. “Make-up is culture. It is power. It is presence. And it is personal. Luxury in make-up is about performance, craftsmanship and sensual experience. It’s about textures that feel exquisite, colors that captivate and formulas that work flawlessly. True luxury is revealed when every detail is considered – from the way the pigment melts into the skin to the feel of a lipstick in the hand. It’s the fusion of artistry and technology, of tradition and innovation,” comments McGrath on the launch.
The new line is deeply rooted in the Maison’s tradition. As early as the 1920s, Louis Vuitton designed bespoke vanity cases and objets de beauté that accompanied travelers with elegance and functionality. This rich history serves as inspiration today: McGrath reinterprets it in products that combine history with innovation.

The line at a glance
LV ROUGE: At the heart of the collection are 55 lipstick shades, a subtle homage to the Roman numerals for LV. Each shade, carefully selected by McGrath, is both visionary and universal. Two finishes – 27 satin and 28 matte shades – combine intense pigmentation with timeless elegance.

LV BAUME: The Baume line is the transparent, luminous counterpart to lipstick. Ten sheer glow shades nourish and beautify the lips, while the balm texture gives a soft glow.
LV OMBRES: Eye make-up is also being reinterpreted. Each palette includes four eyeshadow shades – three wearable nuances for everyday use and a surprising accent shade. Six different finishes from ultra-matte to glitter open up a wealth of possibilities for expression, depth and mood.

A detail that makes the line even more unique: In collaboration with master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, lipsticks and balms have been enhanced with a specially created fragrance signature – delicately carried by mimosa, jasmine and rose, accentuated by mint and raspberry. This makes the make-up not only visible, but also an olfactory experience.
The renowned industrial designer Konstantin Grcic is responsible for the design. Each product impresses with its architectural clarity, is minimalist and luxurious. It is one of the many premieres in the context of La Beauté Louis Vuitton: For the first time, Grcic, known for his exceptional furniture creations, applies his subtle approach of form and function to the world of beauty, transferring the philosophy of durability, aesthetics and emotional design to this collection. “It’s not just about aesthetics. It’s about creating make-up that is functional, refillable and so valuable that you can keep it for years to come,” says the creative.
The collection will be available from August 29, 2025 in selected Louis Vuitton stores and on louisvuitton.com.
Dame Pat McGrath says: “After over 20 years working behind the scenes at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am incredibly excited to be playing such a central role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton – a project born out of exceptional craftsmanship, creativity and innovation. The world of beauty is far more than just product, and what we are creating here will open up a new level of luxury in the art of make-up.”
