Why we should start yoga now

Why we should start practicing yoga now

For a long time, we refused to practice the downward-facing dog or the tree like the masses. Although they all shouted: “Yoga is so great! Good for the joints! Good for the muscles! Good for the tendons! Good for the heart! Good for EVERYTHING!

When we feel our back ache in the evening after a day of working from home on non-ergonomic chairs, it becomes clear that working from home doesn’t just have advantages. We had already noticed small signs beforehand. For example, when a draught that was too strong triggered a lumbago or when our joints cracked when we took the Nutella that was actually well hidden on the top shelf. There are countless good reasons to start practicing yoga. The spiritual journey, the relaxing break from stressful everyday life. It is of course also an advantage that yoga mats and the corresponding outfits are incredibly comfortable and also look stylish.
However, the most important reasons are probably the most obvious: on the one hand, it stretches our entire body, from the back of the neck to the little toe. We stretch and stretch. We pull the cracking joints apart properly. A wonderful effect of regular yoga practice: we get better and better and don’t get out of breath so quickly when we run after the streetcar again. And anyone who suddenly enjoys doing the downward-facing dog knows how good this success feels. We also train our muscles and spine, which in turn leads to better posture in everyday life. And finally, yoga is simply a good way to clear your head and focus on yourself. We see it this way: a little exercise definitely can’t do any harm!
