Food trend treats
As soon as summer is over, we no longer crave ice cream, but cookies. Our favorites are the crispy Gerber biscuits, whose history goes back over 100 years. Made from wholemeal, the traditional Swiss cookies are now available in eight different varieties – for example with coconut, lemon, chocolate or honey. Gerber Biscuits does not use palm oil at all and instead uses rapeseed oil for all its certified organic treats. With these cookies in the pantry, we can cope with the change of season a little better. Gerber biscuits, various varieties, 2 x 80 g, approx. 6.-
Planted kebab
Eat meat? Sure, but in moderation. However, when the alternatives are as delicious as the plant-based pulled pork or chicken from Planted, the decision is twice as easy. The Swiss start-up duo has now been joined by planted.kebab, the meatless kebab. The plant-based alternative to normal kebabs consists of just four ingredients – water, pea protein, rapeseed oil and pea fibers, plus salt and spices. Skeptics will look in vain for additives, and the plant-based kebab easily keeps up with the original in the taste test. Planted, “planted.kebab”, 200 g, approx. 7.-

Charlie’s Chocolate Factory
The more you know about the origin of chocolate, the more fun it is to eat it. At the newly opened Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg, those with a sweet tooth from all over the world can feel like Charlie in Willy Wonka’s kingdom – and we don’t even have to wait for an invitation, as the center is open to anyone with a sweet tooth. Here you can look over the chocolatiers’ shoulders, experience the show production, soak up knowledge in the interactive exhibition or dream of a chocolate coma in front of the nine-meter-high chocolate fountain. And when your mouth is really watering, you can finally eat the delicacies in the tasting room. Lindt Home of Chocolate, open 360 days a year, admission 15 for adults and 10 for children, www.lindt-home-of-chocolate.com
