Despite getting enough sleep, we often struggle with dark circles under our eyes that make us look like we’ve been up all night. We don’t want to compete with Count Dracula with our dark shadows, which is why we’ve put together the most helpful tips for you here.
1. stay hydrated
Yes, we’re getting tired of hearing the saying “Drink enough water!”. But it can even work wonders for dark circles: it boosts the skin’s metabolism and ensures that the skin is supplied with more moisture. This is because dark circles often occur when there is a lot of deoxygenated blood flowing through the veins. The less oxygen the blood contains, the darker it appears.
2. mini-massage
A massage not only has a relaxing effect, but also reduces unsightly shadows: simply gently pat the area under the eyes from the outer edge of the eye to the root of the nose in the morning. It is best to use your ring finger for this, as it exerts less pressure on our sensitive skin.
3. ice ice baby
It’s the ultimate freshness kick: ice cubes help against both puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. The cold causes the blood vessels under the eyes to contract, reducing the swelling. The result: a plumper and more radiant complexion.
4 Coffee, please!
If you’re not an avid coffee drinker, you don’t have to grimace right away. With this trick, the stimulant is not drunk, but applied in the form of a mask. All we need is ground coffee powder and coconut oil: mix the two ingredients in a 1:1 ratio and leave to stand for approx. on our eye area for ten minutes. Goodbye tired skin!
5. it‘s tea time
Tea circles under the eyes: Green tea can help with stubborn dark circles. Briefly steep the tea bags in warm water and then leave to cool in the fridge for about 20 minutes. Then leave this for approx. on the eyes for ten minutes. The tea has an anti-inflammatory effect and makes you look more alert.
6th potato trick
Potatoes can not only conjure up delicious dishes. They are also used to treat dark circles under the eyes: we cut raw potatoes into crescent-shaped slices and place them on the area around our eyes. After 15 minutes, the swelling immediately reduces and the rings become much lighter.
7. red lipstick
In addition to seductive lips, red lipstick also makes for stunning moments: apply a little (!) of the red color to the dark circles, blend it in and leave it on for a few minutes. for one minute. We then cover the red circles under the eyes with a conventional concealer. The dark shadows under your eyes are gone as if by magic!
