Travel trends of the month

Some only travel in thought, others rent an entire island. And we? We have selected the best option for every travel need.

New Opening

Stranded

Book a single room? Or a whole house? Neither is enough for us. We have delusions of grandeur and want a whole island. And now we can have one: Lilløy Lindenberg is located on a small island in the Norwegian wilderness, about 40 minutes from the city of Bergen. Up to ten guests can stay in the cozy cottage. So you need nine friends. Or you can share the island with strangers – you can’t have everything to yourself after all. If you don’t want to cook for yourself despite the cute kitchen, you can indulge in plant-based menus inspired by the island’s wild herbs. Lilløy Lindenberg, Midtøyni, 5315 Herdla, Norway,

Book

More than pasta

Traveling doesn’t just take place physically, but also in the mind and on the plate. When the acute wanderlust starts to bubble, a cookbook is a cheap alternative to a hastily booked flight. However, it takes a little more than pasta with tomato sauce to mentally feast your way to Italy. Juri Gottschall and Mercedes Lauenstein have known this for a long time, as they founded the online magazine Splendido, which is dedicated to Italian food culture. Their latest book “Splendido. Primavera/Estate” is all about spring, summer and tradition. Want some examples? Spring is heralded with monk’s beard, artichokes and fava beans. And in Sicily, almond granita is eaten for breakfast on the hottest days of the year. This book not only makes us hungry, but also lets us boast with niche knowledge. We Love

Adventure Time

There is usually little in common between die-hard hiking fans and style-conscious trendsetters. Could this be the reason why wind- and weatherproof footwear hardly triggers storms of enthusiasm among fashionistas? The collaboration between Palladium and “Le Petit Prince” brings us a little closer together. Because what we certainly all have in common: We’ve read “Le Petit Prince” at some point and learned a life lesson or two from it. And now the wise story shows us that shoes suitable for traveling don’t have to look so boring.

Places

Nature’s Skyline

Rugged peaks and contours that are more exciting than any city skyline – these are the Dolomites. Of course, the view of the World Heritage Site has priority at the Alpina Dolomites Hotel. The impressive mountain landscape can be seen from every room. The building itself could almost keep up with it thanks to its burst of architectural creativity. Architecture fans would probably prefer to hole up inside, but with this backdrop, it’s time to get out! Just because the snow is gradually thawing doesn’t mean that sporting activities are no longer on the agenda. You can swap your skis for hiking boots or a mountain bike and you’re ready to explore the Dolomites. And at the end of the day, the spa is calling. New Product

Welcome to Miami

We actually thought the trend for elongated bags was limited to small baguette
bags. Then Friday came along and turned everything on its head. The “F260 Miami Wide” is so wide that there’s room for a small weekend getaway. Will it be enough for a trip to Miami? That depends on how minimalist you are when traveling. Friday, “F260 Miami Wide”, approx. 140,
