Travel news of the month

What do we take on vacation, where do we book our overnight stays and what luggage do we take with us? We show you in our Travel News.

No car embodies the urge for freedom like the VW Bus. Now Volkswagen is relaunching its classic and providing us with the ID. Buzz Pro with a vehicle that screams adventure. The appearance identifies the new bus as a cousin of the Woodstock icon, but after a look inside and under the hood it becomes clear that a lot has changed since the 1960s. The new figurehead relies on electricity instead of gasoline (quick charging in 30 minutes gives it a range of up to 425 km), has an intelligent panoramic roof that can be transparent or opaque, depending on your preference, and makes driving particularly easy with its assistance systems. For example, it informs us about traffic jams or other local hazards, proactively protects all five occupants in the event of a potential accident, recognizes traffic signs and helps us park so that we can concentrate fully on our trip. Whether it’s a spontaneous overnight stay in the van or stowing a surfboard and the like, folding down the rear seat provides 2,205 liters of storage space. The new VW Bulli is all about fun, not least thanks to eleven color variants ranging from Candy White to Starlight Blue to Energetic Orange and a very special gimmick: the smiley embossed on the inside door handle.
VW, “ID. Buzz Pro”, from approx. 69’910.-
More information on the new ID. You can find Buzz Pro here.

What’s really annoying about customs? When you have to rummage around for what feels like hours for your passport. Make it easy for yourself and stow your most important documents in a pretty bag (such as the one from Loewe, “Paula’s Ibiza”, approx. 629.-), whose embroidered palm fronds will give you that vacation feeling at the airport.
Loewe has even more great parts in its quiver that will make you rejoice. Find them all here.

Where luxury has been celebrated since 1856, you know that the former is not just about expensive interiors and chicly arranged dishes. The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz has held its own as the first luxury hotel in the region since its opening and year after year becomes a refuge for all those who simply cannot get enough of the view of Lake St. Moritz and the charm of a grand hotel. Bad weather? It doesn’t matter to guests of the hotel, as they can always while away a few more hours in the 2,000 square meter wellness area. 165 years of history lie within the walls of the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, which have been further enhanced following extensive renovation. Six restaurants, three bars and the Kulm Country Club, a pavilion with restaurant and bar, ensure that plates and glasses are always well filled with gourmet food, South American-Asian delicacies and pizza. When there is snow, the steel-blue sky and the ski slopes lure you up the mountain, while at higher temperatures St. Moritz offers everything that makes sports and outdoor fans rejoice – although the cozy rooms and suites make it hard to leave the inside.
Kulm Hotel, 7500 St.Moritz, price per double room in summer from approx. 930.- and from approx. 1’245.- in winter
All information about the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz can be found here.
