A trip to Malaysia Teaser

A trip to Malaysia is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Beautiful beaches, diverse cultures, lush rainforests, spectacular mountain landscapes and some fascinating islands: All of this is combined in a vacation in this state in Southeast Asia. To prepare for your stay, it is a good idea to find out more about the highlights of Malaysia.

City visits in Malaysia

Malaysia offers some interesting cities to discover. Prepare your trip to Malaysia with Voyage Privé. How to find the best spots in the city. A stay in the capital Kuala Lumpur is definitely worthwhile. The city combines modern architecture, such as the imposing skyline with the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers, with traditional markets, many temples and, of course, numerous restaurants. A walk through the city takes visitors through the colorful Chinatown and Little India, past the Royal Palace, Istana Negara, and the historic Merdeka Square.
The historic city of Malacca is located in the southwest of Malaysia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its colonial architecture and the Malacca River, which runs through the city. In Malacca, you should visit the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple. It is one of the oldest temples in Malaysia. A visit to the city’s night market is also a culinary delight. Another advantage of Malacca is that the city also has the right infrastructure for digital nomads.

Malaysia’s islands

Malaysia offers travelers several islands. This includes Langkawi. The archipelago off the west coast of the country is home to some stunning beaches. This is a great place to relax and unwind. The beaches in the north of the island, such as Datai Bay and Tanjung Rhu Beach, are particularly recommended.
Tengah Beach is the most beautiful in the south. The third largest island in the world is also located in Malaysia. Borneo belongs to Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. In the Malaysian part, Sabah and Sarawak, vacationers can discover the country’s unique wildlife in the rainforest. With a bit of luck, you might see orangutans and proboscis monkeys. Sabah is also home to the highest mountain on the island. The Kinabalu is 4,095 meters high. The drier months from March to September are best suited for climbing the summit.
Another tip is to visit the Perhentian Islands. These are located in the South China Sea. A snorkeling tour is part of the vacation program here. Underwater, glowing corals and fish compete with each other. The clear waters are a dream for all divers and snorkelers.

Cameron Highlands

A landscape of green tea plantations, flower fields and forests: These are the Cameron Highlands. The highland settlement area is ideal for hiking and nature lovers. Here you can taste fresh tea and stroll through the green landscape. In contrast to the rest of the country, it is cooler here, which is particularly pleasant for outdoor activities. Insect lovers should visit the butterfly garden in the Cameron Highlands. Apart from that, the people in the region are very welcoming and are happy to engage in conversation with foreigners. With a cup of tea, a vegetable gulai and strawberry shortcake, you almost feel at home.

All in all, a vacation in Malaysia is a perfect mix of culture and nature. Whether you’re a sun worshipper or an adventurer – you’ll be in the vacation mood here!
