While in most European countries we can safely tap water from the tap , in Ukraine we should refrain from doing so as far as possible. The water in the pipeline is so polluted by industry and agriculture that even chlorine-based chemicals do not kill all the bacteria . The country on the Black Sea has the worst water in Europe – this is not even suitable for brushing teeth. Better Hands off!

Megalomania rarely ends well. It was to be a group of islands, “The World lslands” in Dubai, for which 321 million cubic meters of sand were piled up and, according to Travelcircus, 12.5 billion euros were spent. What still sounded quite good in 2003 (albeit completely decadent, considering that each of the islands was to cost between 10 and 36 million euros) is an absolute laughing stock in 2019. The global financial crisis cut the project off in 2007, not to mention silting, storms and rising sea levels, which are literally causing “The World Islands” to sink. If you still want to invest: 100 of the 300 islands are still for sale, and you can already live on two of them… The pompous project “The World” becomes a global laughing stock.

The Royals
Those eyes, that snout. And then Fifi has to stay at home on vacation despite the most loyal friendship ? At least not at the Hound Lodge. Two hours south of London lies the estate, which could hardly be more British. We spend our vacation here in a slouch hat, vest and Chelsea boots, as if we had just slipped into a Jane Austen film. Green wherever you look, brick fireplace and wood paneling. Apart from the fact that we feel like English nobility here , man’s best friend also has his place. This is due to the Hound Lodge’s past as accommodation for hunting dogs . And even if there is no more hunting here today: There are plenty of activities in the middle of rural Sussex. Clay pigeon shooting, hitting a few holes, going for a walk on the deepest green and having Fifi fetched – we have rarely felt more royal in an environment.
