The Look
New Work
Computer job? Yawn. Then at least turn up the volume on the look and take full risk. Versace shows this quite well, making pinstripes sexy and pimping oversize coats with neon colors.

Breakwater
The parts fit. Come what may. Even the thickest breakers can’t harm the bikinis and swimsuits from Oy surf, which are fun to wear with pretty laces on the back or subtle prints. Even more reasons to spend the last days of sunshine in Oy surf swimwear are provided by a look at their production: manufactured fairly in a Portuguese family business, the items, which are ideal for both paddling and surfing, are made from recycled polyamide, obtained from industrial waste, and polyester, which is produced using empty plastic bottles. Compared to new polyester, this saves around 60 percent energy – and we need to come up with even more arguments in favor of Oy surf. oysurf.com

Origami
What is so easy to do with paper is a true marvel when made of leather. That’s why it’s worth taking a second look at the “The Whole” bag model from the Thaden label. Handwork is required here to get the folds right, turning a piece of leather into art. Thaden, “The Whole”, available in three sizes, from approx. 1‘850.- to approx. 3‘250.- (thaden.ch)

Something about Mary
No matter how long ago your school days were (and ours): Preppy style is currently scoring top marks, and we would do well to sip a little nostalgia cocktail. This not only brings back cardigans and college jackets, but also mary janes. A little bit good, a little bit bold, a mix like tequila with lemon. The new models are more colorful than the black original and have a much higher heel. What remains: the buckle, without which a Mary Jane would just be an ordinary pump.

The foulard is the chameleon of fashion. It warms the neck, tames the hairstyle or causes a stir when tied to a handbag. In other words: a cool Carré belongs in every wardrobe. The silk foulards from Zurich label Mikaine are currently at the top of our want-to-have list. For the motifs in the current collection, artist Nolwenn Denis has wielded her pen and applied scenes from Switzerland to the Italian twill silk. New Agent
Netflix shelled out 200 million dollars for “The Gray Man”: A record in the streaming business! This may be due not least to its casting, which finally frees Ryan Gosling as a CIA informer from the heartbreaker pigeonhole. The killer role not only has Oscar potential, but also the makings of a 007 audition… although: Gosling’s agenda is currently bursting at the seams, as he travels from one red carpet to the next for “The Gray Man” and at the same time promotes the TAG Heuer “Carrera Three Hands” as an ambassador for TAG Heuer, which accompanies him on the screen, just like the idea that Gosling, as an agent, would actually only have to change secret services…

Rising
When the heat not only weighs on your shoulders, but also on your mind, you can’t think about chunky bling on your décolleté. The Phoenix from Thomas Sabo is patient and keeps watch in its jewelry box until we ring in autumn with it. Then it spreads its wings large and wide and reveals itself in all its rose gold splendor: 18-carat gold plating, 130 white and pink drop-cut and diamond-cut stones and a freshwater cultured pearl turn the mythical creature into a piece of jewelry – and our neck into the center of attention.
