Roberto Cavalli fall/winter 2026/27: Paint it black

Fausto Puglisi instinctively understands the DNA of Roberto Cavalli. Season after season, he navigates the House’s seductive language with precision and remains true to the central codes: excess as self-confidence, sensuality as strength. For fall/winter 2026/27, the tone is more concentrated. A darker palette and a clearer focus replace overt opulence and allow texture, silhouette and construction to carry the impact.

Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2026/27 Collection

Black dominates and becomes the canvas of the collection. Not empty, not neutral, but charged. Layered in transparent lace, lacquered leather, sequins and embossed jacquards. Velvet and matt chiffon absorb the light; croc, shine and embroidery break it up again. Transparency meets density, hardness meets fluidity. And then – tension. Periwinkle, cyclamen, electric pink cut through the darkness.

Cavalli’s Love Language – Animal Print – changes the tone. Zebra is cut in transparent tulle, almost skeletal, as if the pattern were mapping the body instead of covering it. Photographic silver fox glides over flowing silhouettes. Crocodile-embossed leather and faux fur add weight, feathered hems add movement. Animal becomes texture, instinct, surface.

Where safari used to dominate, nocturnal florals are now taking over. Dark botanicals emerge from the black – with Caravaggio intensity, saturated and rich in shadow.

The silhouettes move between control and openness. Striking shoulders and structured jackets ground the body, A-line skirts and sculptural volumes widen at the hips with architectural precision.

Seduction – a Cavalli pillar – remains, but is condensed. Lace briefs, sequin minis and transparent overlays outline rather than overload. Fausto sets breaks: gladiator dresses cut clear lines, a black dress explodes in feather volume, a cropped jacket with floral appliqué destabilizes a sculptural mini silhouette.

The Roberto Cavalli woman does not shape herself to look more pleasing. She stands for herself, unapologetically, and knows that memorability is a currency. Under Fausto Puglisi, this legacy continues for fall/winter 2026/27 with a darker matter-of-factness – excess condenses into cut and surface.
