Alberto Caliri’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection for Missoni evokes a summer of days gone by. It’s a wardrobe that smells of salt in the air, of sun baked into the fabric, and of a road leading out of the city—evoking exactly the kind of evening that tempts you to stay out much longer than you originally planned.
The Missoni Spring/Summer 2027 Collection
Caliri builds this collection around the fluid interplay of movement and memory. Long, flowing silhouettes pair perfectly with wide-leg pants that are sharply gathered at the ankle, and are balanced by small cardigans and simple tops. The styling exudes a sophisticated casualness; crumpled hats, thick socks paired with sandals featuring delicate straps, and large, baggy bags suggest that the outfits were put together instinctively, while life simply goes on—completely detached from any calculated goal.
Crucially, Caliri liberated the iconic Missoni chevrons and stripes by loosening their technical execution. Knitwear varies dynamically in density, designed to fray and almost melt away, while metallic threads and sequins are beautifully highlighted against dry, worn surfaces. A base palette of sand, tobacco, ecru, and dusty pink looks as if it has spent several seasons in the sun and is suddenly punctuated by cheerful, unexpected splashes of color in red, yellow, and silver.

By refusing to view anything as too precious for daytime wear or too ordinary for evening wear, Caliri allows the wardrobe to evolve without superficial formalities. Ultimately, the Missoni Spring-Summer 2027 collection succeeds because it refuses to sell a commercial concept. Instead, it creates that far more elusive form of luxury: the bittersweet feeling of missing a place even before you’ve left it.
