Max Mara is usually all about control – sharp cuts, perfect coats, absolute confidence. But with the fall/winter 2025/26 collection, a different wind is blowing. Inspired by the stormy moors of the Emily Brontë novels, the austere elegance is given a touch of passion.
The Max Mara fall/winter 2025/26 collection
Drama? Yes, but with style. The redingote coat – waisted, flared, strong – has a new shape: with quilted lining and leather or lambskin sleeves. Leg dresses are reminiscent of historical riding pants, with soft pleats at the knee and a high waistband for a powerful silhouette. The vest is back – this time shrunken, as a sharply cut layer under a short jacket. Max Mara’s coats remain the absolute highlight: military-inspired greatcoats, elegant country-style tailcoats and luxurious parkas with extra-large pockets. Knitwear brings structure – ribbed and close to the body, an exciting contrast to the striking silhouettes. In terms of color, everything remains classic: camel, black, burgundy – plus Cascia, a creamy tone reminiscent of the soft light of the Yorkshire countryside. And when evening comes? Then comes the grand entrance: a floor-length velvet dream with a lace-up corset, just made for dramatic scenes.
Max Mara shows that control and emotion do not have to be mutually exclusive. The modern woman is both strong and passionate. And that is exactly what is reflected in her look.
