The new winter collection from Hermès is a tribute to nature. We were at the fashion show in Paris.
The Hermès fashion show during Fashion Week in Paris is always a highlight. Last week, the label presented its new winter collection – no question, we were sitting in the rows with excitement. With its designs, Hermès is powerfully fanning the flames of anticipation for the dark season, showing colors as colorful as falling autumn leaves and, with wool, silk and cashmere, exactly the cozy materials we want on our skin in the nasty wind and weather. The monochrome looks in shades of red, yellow and copper pay tribute to nature and, with knots and grains, provide exactly the details that make us clap our hands for Hermès. We were particularly taken with the pleated dresses made of hammered metallic silk and the thick sweaters made of lamé knit, whose texture reminds us of tree bark.
