Maria Grazia Chiuri has rarely been interested in seasonal trends. Her design vocabulary is remarkably consistent, and the Fendi Spring/Summer 2027 collection makes little attempt to hide this. Flowing silhouettes, visible lingerie, and historically inspired pieces make a comeback, now filtered through Fendi’s distinctly more decadent aesthetic of fur and embroidery.
What changes is not so much the language as the accent. At Dior, Chiuri’s dresses were often rooted in historical and feminist research; at Fendi, those same instincts come across as significantly bolder. The body remains the starting point. Dresses play around the figure rather than defining it; sheer knits, slips, and lace cling to the body, while sudden splashes of color in peach, mint, and bright yellow break up the sea of black and earthy neutrals. Shaggy fur, leopard prints, beaded fringes, and gold embroidery set the mood somewhere between Roman decadence and Studio 54 after midnight.
Men’s fashion, too, exudes this same self-assurance after work. Bare chests, deep necklines, loose cuts, pinstripes, and fur-trimmed layers break up conventional formality and lend men’s fashion a decadent dandyism that looks lavish yet is deliberately casual.

Chiuri may not be reinventing her own style, but she’s bringing a different touch to Fendi. The restraint that characterized much of her time at Dior has given way to something bold, sensual, and decadent. The signature style remains unmistakably Maria Grazia Chiuri; the attitude is unmistakably Fendi.
