Our trends are all about collaboration: Magda Butrym is teaming up with H&M, Louboutin and Maison Margiela are reinventing the most iconic shoes and Viu has brought designer Sarah Bounab on board for a special pair of glasses. Everything is easier together.
Trend
Everything in butter
Because we not only follow fashion trends, but also keep an eye on what foodies are currently raving about, we know that simple ingredients enjoy their moment in the spotlight. The best example: fluffy, lavishly decorated mountains of butter are doing the rounds on social media and outshine even the most elaborate multi-course meal. Fashion is following suit. So we have chosen buttery butter yellow as our spring uniform.

New Collection
En rose
Femininity meets romance: this is what Polish ready-to-wear designer Magda Butrym is known for. Now she has given a limited-edition H&M collection a makeover with her rosy signature. Accessories, jewelry and clothing bloom in the designer’s unmistakable Slavic style. The collection will be available from April 24. It pays to be quick, because when H&M makes common cause with designers, fashion lovers pull out their porte-monnaie so quickly that you don’t even have to hang the pieces up in the store.

We Love
Red Sole, Split Toe
Louboutin girls shriek with joy when they see red soles, Margiela girls get positive heart palpitations when they wear the legendary Tabis on their feet. So what happens when these two very different shoe fanatics, or rather their designers John Galliano and Christian Louboutin, meet? Quite logically: even more screams of joy. Galliano and Louboutin have known each other since their beginnings in the fashion industry. It was therefore easy to merge their respective design languages into something new. The red soles and the controversial split toe can of course also be found – reinterpreted – in this special collection.

It-Piece
Knee Deep
“When you walked around the house wearing my sky blue Lacoste and your knee socks”, Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner once sang to his lover, who didn’t seem to reciprocate his feelings at all. The song not only makes the frustrating complexity of love somehow attractive, but also a piece of clothing that has an unjustifiably bad reputation. Knee-high socks are finally cool (again).

Darling
Everything so beautifully colorful
What makes us all the same? Paradoxically, our urge for individuality. Who wants to wear exactly the same thing as someone else? The jewelry made from recycled materials by Theresa Brar’s label Studio Make Me Smile fulfils our egotistical desire: each collection surprises us with new colors and shapes that are guaranteed not to be found anywhere else.

Collaboration
Twice as cool
Cheating is not proper. But a bit of cheating can be sold under the alias of a life hack. And we have discovered just such a hack for all those who struggle with an unfavorable combination of an outstanding sense of style and far too little courage. A piercing on the face? Super cool, way too painful. Geneva-based designer Sarah Bounab has teamed up with eyewear label Viu to create the perfect piece for all stylish scaredy-cats. The jewelry is attached to the sunglasses themselves. You don’t even have to worry about making a final decision, as the decoration can be changed at will. Unfuck the World
Lifesaver
While we are thinking about which bag goes with which outfit, one in six children in Somalia will not see their sixth birthday. Instead of despairing at the injustice of life, Mireia Lluisa-Lindh, founder of the London-based bag label DeMellier, takes action. For every bag sold, DeMellier finances a life-saving vaccination or medical treatment for children in need in collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages. Over one million vaccinations have already been made possible. So if we want to indulge our pocket addiction uninhibitedly, we now know where we can do so without a guilty conscience. Thanks to a new spring/summer collection and the repertoire of classics, this is easy for us.
