Sure, at first glance some of it seems like déjà vu – but the top 13 trends for fall/winter 2025/26 are anything but a lukewarm rehash. It’s not about nostalgia or old classics, but about bold new interpretations. Familiar silhouettes are celebrating their comeback – louder, sharper and more self-confident than ever.
And yes: fur again, power shoulders again, knitwear again – but every piece is a new statement, everything reloaded. From the office Christmas party to New Year’s Eve street style to the White Turf in St. Moritz: every winter occasion has its own fashion statement.
Here are the top 13 fashion trends for fall/winter 2025/26 that you need to know now
1st Python Fever
Leopard was yesterday – python is the new power pattern for winter. And yes: mega classy. Valentino presents a crystal-studded midi dress with a python aura(obsessed!), Gabriela Hearst shows boots and skirt in their wildest form, Zimmermann delivers soft boho chiffon with a reptile vibe, and Sportmax goes for a structured trench with a matching bag – bold, sleek and editorial-ready.

2. cozy maximalism
This season brings oversized knitwear with volume, layering and a new twist. Missoni impresses with artful color gradients, Lacoste celebrates the cool college vibe, Chanel shows elegant nonchalance, Louis Vuitton delivers high-fashion layering. And: knitwear over knitwear? The new style flex.

3. bold business
Power shoulders have long been more than just blazers. Now blouses are getting the full update. Stella McCartney combines clean lines with volume, Chloé shows feminine strength, Yves Saint Laurent brings edgy silhouettes with attitude and Vaquera focuses on pure drama.

4. brown leather takes over
Black leather remains a classic – but brown leather is on the front row for fall/winter 2025/26. From mocha to mahogany, from blazers, skirts, dresses to pants: Hermès presents classic cuts in dark chocolate, Chloé brings cheeky leather trousers in espresso, Christopher Esber shows mahogany midis in clean lines, Ferragamo mixes mocha tops with espresso pants. Leather in luxury form.

5. narcist coats
These coats don’t say “please” or “thank you” – they take their own space. Ferragamo shows oversized wool with statement shoulders, Ferrari delivers mafia-wife vibes with XXL faux fur, Louis Vuitton styles blanket coats with layering love. Versace plays along with the comforter dressing trend and delivers dramatic down jackets with fashion attitude. Cozy, but couture.

6. low rise
Low-rise pants are celebrating their comeback – but without Y2K cuffs. The new cuts are clean, cool and sophisticated. Trust Victoria Beckham when it comes to transforming a real trash trend into pure elegance – her signature tailoring suddenly makes low-rise ultra-chic. Chanel shows modern silhouettes with soft volume, Duran Lantink combines pinstripes with edgy cuts. And Tom Ford? Haider Ackermann hits the nerve perfectly for the brand – the low-rise pants bring Tom Ford’s modern, stylish sexiness to the point, combined with a soft-cut cropped sweater for subtle coolness.

7. embellished denim
Forget basic denim – fall/winter 2025/26 brings jeans with maximum detail – for the bold. Crystals, fringes, embroidery, metallics – each piece is a statement of pure precision and visual overload. Dolce & Gabbana and Versace present embellished jeans at the highest level – sparkling, precise and absolutely unapologetic. Blumarine relies on glitter embroidery for the perfect throwback glam. Stella McCartney brings movement to the look with shimmering fringes.

8th Blue Crush
Blue is anything but shy this season. From cobalt to deep navy: these shades of blue make a statement instead of being standard. Emporio Armani brings graphic blazers, Fendi focuses on shiny elegance, Akris convinces with layering and bold feather details, and Saint Laurent shows blue oversized, with power attitude and full presence.

9. jewel tones
Rich, vibrant colors have taken over the runway – jewel tones definitely add that little something extra for fall/winter 2025/26. Dries Van Noten delivers casual cool with a jumpsuit in amethyst that looks effortlessly elegant. Prada opts for a dark green, sculptural skirt with a creative tie detail – typical Prada, always one step ahead. Genny goes all in with a midnight blue kimono coat – oversized, fitted and made for the big diva moment. And Gucci? A velvety golden yellow dress with strong shoulders, classic gold hardware and chevron structure – definitely a favorite on the catwalk.

10 Don’t Call It Quiet
Quiet tones, big appearance – Off-White was everywhere on the runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris. Tom Ford delivers clean power silhouettes, Ermanno Scervino mixes chunky knit with soft tailoring, Calvin Klein wraps us in dramatic oversize, and Courrèges brings futuristic coolness with cut-out shapes. And before anyone shouts “quiet luxury” – nope! The cuts, the tailoring, the details? Miles away from the understatement vibe that we are so skipping in Fall/Winter 2025/26.

11. slouch boots
Scrunch is the new Sleek. Balmain shows vinyl boots with a couture vibe, Sportmax goes for beige XXL pleats, Louis Vuitton brings 80s flair in brick red with a cozy knit, Giambattista Valli combines white slouch boots with a glitter dress. Movement, volume, attitude – all in.

12. top handle
Crossbody is a thing of the past – now it’s back to the hand. Roberto Cavalli packs golden drama with feline and snake handles, Valentino stays clean with crocodile texture, Antonio Marras delivers dark leather drama, and Bottega Veneta brings traditional wickerwork with a modern twist. Top handle bags are statement & attitude you can touch.

13. ski core
At Ski-Core, function meets real style and takes us on a journey through the past decades. Designers combine technical skiwear with coolness, fun and a dose of rebellion. Elie Saab delivers retro glam à la Aspen in the sixties and seventies – classy, sleek and full of elite ski vibes. Casablanca brings puffy looks, but very soft – pink quilting reminiscent of the eighties, but without the neon overload. Moncler Grenoble shows its flex in terms of style and function – sleek, ready for the slopes and with the perfect mix of luxury and technical precision. And Andreas Kronthaler goes all in: He brings back the chaotic snowboard energy of the nineties – oversized, bold and full of attitude.

The classic après-ski essential – the Scandi knit – is less traditional this season, but more playful and still absolutely fashion-conscious. Brands such as Moschino, Anteprima, Acne Studios and Marco Rambaldi are reinterpreting the alpine basic: with oversized silhouettes, soft textures and unusual color palettes. Fluffy mohair, sugar-sweet pink, washed-out blue and graphic round fits with a twist turn the cozy Norwegian sweater into a real statement piece in the ski-core cosmos.

White Turf ready: Elie Saab, Gucci, Aniye Records and Fendi celebrate winter luxury with ivory silk, floor-length silhouettes and dramatic faux fur.

And no core trend is complete without the right extras: Etro delivers fur hats in a shapka style, Fendi turns beanies into glam pieces with sequins and mesh veils, Elie Saab brings XXL sunglasses, Valentino fluffy moon boots with bows. It’s giving high-altitude high-drama.

Trends for fall/winter 2025/26 are everything – except quiet. Forget quiet luxury – loud elegance, big drama and fashion that takes over the room reign here. Ready, set, slay.
