Out of the daily grind and onto the catwalk: the 16 finalists of Elite Model Look Switzerland all have a common dream: to make it as a model.
The Elite Model Look goes into the next round: On 23. The winners in Switzerland will be announced on October. 16 models recently took part in the EML boot camp. They were made up, styled and briefed to prepare the young models for a possible career in the fashion world. Grazia Covre, the artistic director, supported the young women and men with choreography and showed them how to present outfits in the best possible way – a small foretaste of what awaits them in this profession. The EML team attaches great importance to guiding the young models correctly, not giving them false hope and giving them a real insight into everyday life as a model.
But it wasn’t just the candidates who were given a fresh makeover at the boot camp – the EML also got a fresh look. For the first time in 2021, the makers are working with young designers from the STF Swiss Textile College, who will be dressing the models in sensational outfits. The model contest also focuses on digital channels. This is one of the reasons why the models were accompanied by a film team during the boot camp: The resulting video will be available from 25. October 2021 on the EML channels.
