Jonathan Anderson deserves a standing ovation for his latest triumph at Dior. With each season, in both men’s and women’s fashion, one gets the sense that his confidence is growing and his vision for this historic house is becoming ever clearer. This newfound self-assurance was evident in the Dior women’s collection for Spring/Summer 2027.
The technical brilliance of the garments lies in the fact that Anderson does not treat air as a vacuum, but as a physical material woven into the fabric. The traditional tailored suit is completely reinterpreted through the flowing weightlessness of the flou, allowing silk muslin, organza, and delicate lace to glide effortlessly between transparency and opacity. By translating the floral volumes and iridescent surfaces of his previous fall collection into a lighter, summery aesthetic, the garments are designed to capture a warm breeze, underpinned by a striking sense of asymmetry. Long scarves cascade over the shoulders, accompanied by earrings weighted with gemstones.
The house’s accessories anchor this ethereal romanticism in a very modern reality. The iconic Saddle bag has been reimagined, as have the “Dior Double” and “Dior Initial Hobo” styles, crafted from supple leather.

Anderson is now regarded as one of the most impressive creative directors in the fashion world—as evidenced by how completely he has distinguished his current designs from his earlier design language at Loewe. There are no recycled clichés here; instead, he has fully embraced the style of Avenue Montaigne to present a beautiful, deeply self-assured collection that Christian Dior himself would have loved. The Dior Spring/Summer 2027 collection has produced something absolutely breathtaking—it will undoubtedly be a Miss Dior summer.
