Chanel presented its winter collection for the 2023/24 season in Paris. The fashion show and its looks would have made Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld equally proud.
Coco Chanel loved camellias. It is therefore no coincidence that this oversized flower adorned the catwalk on which the models presented the label’s winter fashion in Paris. Meanwhile, Virginie Viard spread the petals on jackets, buttons, prints and bags, where they subtly referred to the fashion house’s roots. Black, white and grey were the predominant colors in the outfits of the Chanel winter collection 2023/24, which Virginie Viard brought to the catwalk with her usual playfulness and eye for detail. Red and pink provided a few splashes of color and a mix of materials including tweed, knitwear, sequins, feathers, fake fur, velvet and lace ensured that the eye could hardly get enough. A little bit dandy, a little bit madame and a dash of little girl – that’s how you can describe what we’ll be wearing from Chanel next season. A mixture that creates excitement and makes us want to skip summer for these fashionable prospects.
