Blumarine is focusing entirely on drama for the fall/winter 2026/27 collection. Under Creative Director David Koma, the focus is on the figure of the Italian diva, who sees glamor as an expression of power. The collection moves in a darker, more sculptural direction, where sensuality meets control. Koma draws on the visual history of the house, in particular the provocative images of Helmut Newton, and combines them with the theatrical atmosphere of Venice. The result is a wardrobe between softness and austerity, opulence and precision.
The Blumarine Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection
The silhouettes are bold and voluminous, characterized by mini dresses, sculptural outerwear and dramatic capes. A palette of black, deep red, white, silver and gold defines the collection and creates a darkly cinematic mood. Blumarine’s iconic rose becomes the central motif and appears in prints, embroidery and three-dimensional appliqués. It runs through taffeta balloon dresses, vinyl bomber jackets, chiffon dresses and overdyed denim pants. Metallic interpretations transform the flower into silver lace embroidery or gold chainmail mini dresses.
Texture and ornament continue to drive the collection forward. Chantilly lace, crinoline skirts and crepon ruffles bring romantic fragility, which is broken up by harder elements such as sculptural metal hardware and corset constructions. Baroque references appear in cameo buttons, crosses and opulent jewelry, while grid-like metal cages and harness-like constructions underline Koma’s sculptural signature.
Outerwear reinforces the theatrical character of the collection. Goat hair coats and wide capes feature graphic harlequin patterns as a nod to the Commedia dell’Arte. These are complemented by pointed slingback pumps in leather or satin, reinforced with metal toe caps and studded with crosses.
