Between stressful Christmas shopping and cold, gray days flowing into each other, it’s easy to lose motivation. Before the winter blues are officially diagnosed, we’re rushing in with a 100 percent effective antidote: the FACES Winter issue. With 180 pages of pure inspiration, you’re welcome to spend a few hours motionless on the couch in your pyjamas. And enjoy the following, among other things:
There’s something for the eyes: photoSCHWEIZ 26
Over 250 talented photographers who couldn’t be more different and all kinds of colors, compositions and creativity: photoSCHWEIZ in Zurich in February is a must for all photography fans. As it is still a little way off, we are giving you an insight into some of our favorite works in advance.

Conversation with gallery owner and artist Anahita Sadighi
“What we need is a foreign policy that is truly feminist, in the sense of care, empathy and responsibility,” says Berlin gallery owner, curator and artist Anahita Sadighi in an interview. We got into a really deep conversation with her – about art and politics, cohesion and optimism and everything in between.

Unseen Polaroids by Ellen von Unwerth
Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, Claudia Schiffer… Who hasn’t the German photographer Ellen von Unwerth actually had in front of her lens? With her unique eye, she helped shape the whole of pop culture. At the Christophe Guye Gallery in Zurich, you can see not only her most iconic images, but also a whole host of previously unseen Polaroids, some of which we were also allowed to print.

And what else?
In keeping with the festive season, we’re letting it sparkle and presenting the most beautiful rings of the season. Maria Lager, founder of lingerie label Understatement, believes that women of all ages and shapes should be seen – and we wholeheartedly agree. And to make sure that every last bit of winter blues disappears, we asked singer Claude Fontaine about her music, which sounds like eternal summer. So we’re serious about nestling on the sofa for hours on end. Don’t forget your tea and snacks and we wish you a cozy read!
