People we look up to this month? Well then, hold on tight, here comes our FACES of the month: Shiadanni, Andre Rush, Melody Melamed, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fernando Alonso, Charles Jeffrey, Fabienne Hoelzel, Saint Levant, Elena Velez, Wes Anderson.

Shiadanni – Drama Queen

Anyone whose glamor or guacamole reserves are alarmingly low will find a remedy at Shiadanni. On Instagram and TikTok, she leads us through a desperately pompous everyday life in her hyper-star-like alter ego Shiadiva – usually under the biggest hats ever measured on the internet. But it gets really funny for the Mexican when she steps up to the microphone. Then she sings seductive electro-pop noir, as on her new single “Stellar”.

Andre Rush – Kitchen opponent

Even Donald Trump eats the broccoli off this chef’s plate. Andre Rush has stood behind the grill in the White House for four US presidents. The army veteran eats 10,000 calories a day and transforms them into those two armored tubes he calls upper arms with 2,222 push-ups. Joe Biden, meanwhile, has to find a new cooking hero: Andre Rush is now serving in the Gordon Ramsay-produced TV show “Kitchen Commando”.

Melody Melamed – Close up

Every scar, wrinkle and pore becomes a wonderful landscape in front of her lens. At a time when the bodies of queer people have become a political battleground, Melody Melamed stages them in all their beauty, vulnerability and strength in the photo book “The Book of Skin: Shangri-la”. The portrait photographer, who has worked for Paper Magazine, The New Yorker and the Financial Times, has created an intimate memorial that inspires empathy.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge – …and Action!

What is he looking for again? For this summer’s movie, Harrison Ford picks up the rotten whip again in “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”. At his side is Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the sharp-tongued godchild. In her comedy series “Fleabag”, she has already created some of the funniest dialog in recent TV history. Fernando Alonso – Fast Times

Dude, is it still running? And how. At 42, Fernando Alonso is actually in the fall of his career. But the leaves are whirled higher than they have been for a long time. Since the Formula 1 legend has been driving for Aston Martin this season, the Spaniard has been back at the front of the field and has finished on the podium in each of the first three races. But what do we make of the persistent rumor that he is dating Taylor Swift? Totally awesome.

Charles Jeffrey – Shock-Schott

Recently, Charles Jeffrey also likes to stay at home in the evening. The Scotsman once financed his design studies with the Loverboy party series, which gave rise to the fashion label of the same name. Loverboy shaped London’s club culture, while CJ created wild collections based on the raucous nights out. And even though the 33-year-old has become more domesticated, his latest output at Milan Fashion Week shows that Loverboy is still a colorful man.

Fabienne Hoelzel – City, country, diligence

We built this city on Rock’n’Roll. But now what? Fabienne Hoelzel has the not always easy answers. The qualified urban planner and architect from Aarau works on solutions for the living space of the future and is a sought-after interview partner in Germany and Switzerland. The company she founded, Fabulous Urban, is currently working in Lagos, Nigeria, promoting infrastructure and the local community with projects.

Saint Levant – Palestine Chill

The song line “I’m focused and have very few friends” earned him a lot of fans overnight. And since his song “Very Few Friends” blossomed into the biggest viral hit of the spring, Saint Levant has been regarded as the pop voice of the Arab world. Having grown up in the Gaza Strip, the Californian by choice raps in three languages and also deals with his childhood in the war zone. Dior listened in and made him the face of the Fragrance Division.

Elena Velez – Diamonds & Rust

Between the high-fashion poles of NYC and L.A. lies a fashion wasteland of oversized “Hard Rock Café” shirts in the USA: Elena Velez puts an end to this rumor. The designer comes from the Midwestern working class and creates clothing that celebrates femininity and leaves sharp edges. Pop stars like Solange, Rosalìa and Arca are thrilled. The same goes for the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which recently accepted Elena Velez.

Wes Anderson – Mr. Perfect

The man from another planet looks into space in his next movie. Asteroid City” by director Wes Anderson will be released this summer. Half of Hollywood has secured a boarding pass for the intergalactic trip: Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie are just some of the stars that the Texan has placed in the perfectly arranged firmament. TikTok can hardly wait for the movie release and stages short videos as if they came from the Grand Maître himself.
