Hublot, the renowned Swiss watch manufacturer, has announced the winner of the “Hublot Design Prize 2023”. An international competition that honors young designers who stand out for their exceptional creativity and originality.
Aqui Thami wins the Hublot Design Prize 2023
The award ceremony for the Hublot Design Prize 2023 took place at the Kunsthaus Zurich. Among the six finalists, Aqui Thami was recognized for her inspiring and socially responsible approach to design. As an activist, she uses her multidisciplinary skills, from art to graphic design, to support the women’s community in Mumbai. The jury particularly emphasized Thami’s multidisciplinary approach, which is evident in her artworks and self-produced magazines (zines).
Gabriel Fontana receives the Pierre Keller Award
In addition to the main prize, the Pierre Keller Award was also presented to designer Gabriel Fontana. He uses sport as an instrument to redefine roles and social norms. His designs promote identity and inclusion and show how to bring about positive social change.
The Hublot Design Prize: A platform for young talents
