Female Gaze, Please! Vernissage and exhibition in Berlin

In our summer issue, we teamed up with White Label Project to show that photography doesn’t have to be as male-dominated as it is. A lot of people seem to agree with us, as numerous guests turned up at the vernissage for our collaboration in the Berlin concept store despite the downpour to enjoy a glass of Mo ët in hand to admire pictures and make contacts.

Nine female photographers, 22 pages in our summer issue – that’s impressive, but there’s more to come. At least that’s what we and White Label Project thought and invited them to the vernissage. The concept store is not only ideal as a small gallery, but also as an event space. The photographers’ prints will adorn the walls of the flagship store in Berlin Mitte for a month – enough time to choose one of them for your own living room.

Cheers to Female Voices

The pouring rain couldn’t stop us from celebrating our Female Voices. While it was cold and wet outside, the store with its stylish interior was all the more inviting to linger and chat. With a glass or two of Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial, the whole thing felt like a summer night after all.

Three of our photographers, whose work can be admired in our summer issue and purchased from White Label Project, also mingled with the guests: Fion Hung, Gabriela Alatorre and Julia Marie Werner were available for discussions and shared their very own perspectives on the subject. Anyone who will be in Berlin in the near future and would like to view the works at their leisure will have the opportunity to do so until August 18.

It’s best to grab our summer issue at the newsstand, but if you’re more of a digital user, you can of course also read our text on Female Voices here.

You can discover what else White Label Project has to offer in addition to photography prints here.
