Is the pen mightier than the sword? At least it can also comfort instead of just hurting. Both of NoViolet Bulawayo’s novels made it onto the shortlist for the prestigious Booker Prize, something no black author from Africa has ever achieved. Her latest book “Glory” has just been published in German: In the style of “Animal Farm” and fables that her grandmother once told her, Bulawayo denounces the politics of her native Zimbabwe.
