9th Black Butler
This anime revolves around the life of 13-year-old British boy Ciel Phantomhive and his butler Sebastian Michaelis in the 19th century. Century. In his childhood, Ciel lost his parents in a fire and was himself abducted by a cult and abused for a month for occult ceremonies. Ciel’s hatred for those who mistreated him conjures up a demon with whom Ciel makes a contract. From now on, this demon is to act as his butler under the name Sebastian Michaelis and obey his every command. In return, Sebastian receives Ciel’s soul as soon as he has taken his revenge on those who humiliated him. The anime is very special, but still very entertaining.
8th Overlord
The story begins with the popular online game Yggdrasil, which is to be shut down one day. However, Momonga, the main protagonist, does not want to log out. Momonga is then transformed into a powerful skeleton magician. The world of Yggdrasil changes dramatically as a result, with NPCs suddenly feeling emotions and gaining their own consciousness. Without parents or friends, Momonga tries to conquer the new world that has emerged from the game Yggdrasil. I watched the anime for free on Watchbox and thought it was pretty good. But it’s also available on Netflix.
7th Death Note
The anime is about the student Light Yagami, who one day finds a mysterious notebook. The notebook says “whose name you write in the notebook dies”. He doesn’t believe it at first, but when he tries it, the person dies of heart failure. Light decides to create a new world in which crime no longer exists. What at first seems like a good deed is actually not so ingenious, and so the police get involved. But the police are no great opponent for Light. The real opponent is L, the private detective. Light and L fight each other in a battle of wits. The anime is very good and corresponds exactly to the manga, which I have also read.
6. one punch man
This funny anime is more of a parody of the shonen jump genre, but with its twelve episodes it simply entertained me. The anime is about the superhero Seitama, who trains so hard that he can finish off any opponent with just one punch. Then he becomes sad because he no longer enjoys fighting. By chance, he meets Genos, who is a cyborg. Together they take a test for superheroes and become real superheroes. And if he hasn’t died, Saitama is still looking for an equal opponent.
5. naruto
Naruto is about ninjas who run around cool and fight bad guys. It really is like that, but with a bit more story. It is about the young ninja Naruto Uzumaki, who has been outcast from the village of Kohnoha Gakure since birth. But not without reason: Naruto has great powers that were sealed inside him at birth. His biggest dream is to become a Hokage. On his way to becoming Hokage, he finds more and more friends and comrades, such as his team. His team includes Uchiha Sasuke, the useless Sakura and Kakashi Hatake, who also has a sad past. Personally, I really enjoyed the series and I can highly recommend it to you.
4th Assassination Classroom
What can I say? I just love this crazy anime so much. It’s about a school class that has to kill a giant yellow octopus, otherwise it will destroy the earth. I know it sounds completely stupid, but it’s just brilliant to see how the pupils slowly make friends with the octopus. And then not make a plan to kill him, but to save him. Overall, the anime is simply brilliant and you have to see it.
3. Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Meliodas, Ban, Diane, King, Merlin, Escanor and Gowther are the seven deadly sins of Britannia. Together they fight against the ten commandments. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? This is what the successful Netflix original anime The Seven Deadly Sins, also known as Nanatsu no Taizai, is all about. So to be precise, there is a more in-depth story, but I won’t spoil it here. All I can say is that I really like the anime.

2 Attack on Titan
The city has not seen a Titan for over 100 years. On that fateful day, however, a super titan appears out of nowhere in front of the city and tears a hole in the great wall. When the Titans invade the city, Eren and Mikasa are forced to watch Eren’s mother being eaten alive. Eren swears that he will slaughter every single Titan in the world and take revenge for all of humanity. The story is simply brilliant, and so are the characters. The anime passed a lot of time for me and was very entertaining. Unfortunately, only the first of three seasons is available on Netflix.
1. fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood
Broadly speaking, FMAB is about the Elric brothers, who are masters of alchemy. When their mother dies, they are alone because their father has left them. With the help of alchemy, they try to revive their mother, but are unsuccessful. In the process, the older brother Edward loses a leg and the younger brother Alphonse loses his entire body. To get his brother back, Edward sacrifices another arm and binds Alphonse’s soul to a suit of armor. They then set off in search of a way to get their old bodies back. This is my favorite anime because it’s so sad and yet still action-packed. So I can only recommend it.
