“That’s the beauty about beauty. You can just wash it right off, and your skin is your canvas, so you can do something new the next day.” Michelle Phan
At always and forever
We have to do something before even more greenhouse gases turn our planet into a sauna. We start at home, in the bathroom, very small and inconspicuous and yet in such a way that we make a difference. Instead of constantly buying new plastic razors and overpriced blades, let’s invest in the good stuff from Bulldog. The handle is made of sustainably grown and recyclable bamboo, the actual razor head is made of chrome-free metal and five cutting edges are made of hardened steel. In this way, we are giving unnecessary plastic consumption the finger. Bulldog, “Original Bamboo Razer”, approx. 8.-
Big Bang
Before the 29. In March 1989, a bath was really just a tub filled with soap and water. Boring – and somehow dreary. Then Lush co-founder Mo Constantine developed the bath bomb and turned the full bath into a fun program. These colorful things are now available with flowers, essential oils and in every imaginable color and shape, making us almost regret their disappearance in hot water.
Bondage
When it comes to hairstyles, we like it as uncomplicated as possible. Or do you like to spend hours with a brush and products, only to mourn the wasted time like a newly separated single after a summer storm? To change our look on a daily basis, we are turning to braided or knotted hairbands this summer. They keep annoying strands of hair in check and even pimp up any fringes that are hanging down listlessly. Hairspray or dry shampoo provide grip so that the band does not slip off your head immediately. & Other stories, “Braided Hairband”, made of polyester, approx. 21.-
No chemical brothers
Fancy a chemical cocktail ? Well, maybe we pay attention to the small print on everything we eat or put on our face, but when it comes to nail polish we are distracted by the color. It’s better to go straight for a label that pays as much attention to the ingredients of its polishes as James Bond does to the right mixing ratio of his favorite drink. New Zealander Anna Ross only uses certified organic ingredients such as kefir, olive or avocado oil for her label Kester Black – even the glitter used is biodegradable. The purely vegan nail polishes are also made without all the unpronounceable substances that could be bad for us and are water and air permeable. But Ross doesn’t stop at the product, but pays attention to CO2-neutral work in the entire company and also donates two percent of sales to organizations, which are committed to charitable causes.
Geometry
Calculating angles was definitely not the most difficult task in class – and the same applies to this trend. Instead of the classic eyeliner, labels such as Rochas now rely on its negative. With a brush or eyeliner pencil and a little practice, you can do the wink in no time, leaving time for other things that we prefer to hours of make-up in front of the mirror. A walk in the sun, for example. Bobbi Brown, Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in “Black Ink”, waterproof, approx. 34.-
