“Let’s be realistic, how many people are buying a $2,000 skirt?” Vera Wang

Naomi Campbell is a bitch. The negative headlines die down, and yes, we don’t want to be like that – because Campbell is not only the smartphone-throwing fury, but also one of the most sought-after models in the world. This year, Taschen-Verlag is paying homage to the fifty-year-old with an update of her own illustrated book. “Naomi. Updated Edition” shows Naomi’s most iconic shoots and photos that will keep you guessing. Because you have to give the lady credit for one thing: In the past twenty years, she hasn’t aged a day on the outside. However, electronics are no longer peppered around the area. Bottle, bag, sneakers. All plastic. Adidas Originals has a mission: to stop plastic waste. And so the creative minds at Adidas have really put their brains to work and designed sustainable versions of popular sneaker classics for the Adidas Originals Clean Classics collection. The soles of the new favorites are made from around 90 percent natural rubber and ten percent recycled rubber. The upper material is also made from 70 percent recycled materials, and the use of a new pattern process also reduces material waste. There are also shoelaces made of paper and insoles made of cork, for example. A start, the first step, more may follow. The models in the Adidas Clean Classics collection are available at www.zalando.com.

Black as the night, gray as the weather. A little variety is good for us, and if the latter also has the same effect as a well-mixed espresso martini, then we’re all in. Fuchsia is the color of the hour, and it’s catching our eye like the next face mask denier. However, the reaction to brightly colored pants, skirts or blouses is much more pleasing. Fuchsia has the force of a snowball and the versatility of a Rihanna. The complete look works particularly well with an evening dress, and if we don’t have the opportunity, we like to wear a bag or shoe with jeans and a shirt.

One for all
Fashion must not exclude. Neither the tall, nor the short, the narrow or the curvy, and certainly not the young or the old. That’s why the collections from the Swiss label NUNO des amis are available in all sizes from 34/36 to 50/52. The focus of the fall collection is on Italian jersey material tailored into pieces that are guaranteed to delight us for more than just one season. Production takes place in Switzerland, in Döttingen and Thun, and from residual material stocks in order to reduce material waste to a minimum. Muted colors, sophisticated cardigans, culottes, classic dresses and timeless skirts make up the current collection, which looks good on anyone who appreciates good Swiss craftsmanship. www.nunodesamis.ch
Coolness coach
There used to be transition jackets. Then climate change came along and almost seamlessly transported us from a hot summer to the depths of winter. For the few days in between, there are vests that are replacing necklaces this season thanks to beads, embroidery or crystals. Turtleneck sweaters, blouses or long wool dresses get an upgrade thanks to the vest and gain coolness when the right attitude has to be trained first.
Giambattista Valli, vest with floral embroidery in silk and polyester, approx. 2’116.-

Well, what now? Scarf, hood or poncho? Strictly speaking, the new piece from MCM doesn’t have to fit into any gender categories any more than we do. Everyone as he likes. And if we can’t help ourselves with this multifunctional scarf (approx. 750.-) want to keep warm on cold fall days, they will do so without fear of definitional obstacles.
