2021 is just around the corner. And even if everything will probably be different at the turn of the year in 2020, we are still making plans. Instead of counting down in the club and starting the new year full of fervor, we’re going full throttle at home! We are accompanied by Sonos speakers, whose sound comforts us from having to swap our dancing shoes for slippers this time. But we’re not alone: according to a survey by Sonos, 66 percent of Swiss people spend New Year’s Eve within their own four walls. A game night, movie night or home party are the ideas that Swiss people have in mind for the most exciting night of the year. More than half of those surveyed by Sonos do not want to miss out on welcoming in the New Year despite the pandemic. Maybe we’ll get some input from our European neighbors, 17 percent of whom even create their own playlist for New Year’s Eve. This includes hits such as Queen’s “I Want to Break Free” or ABBA’s “Happy New Year”, whose cool lyrics and catchy melodies put everyone in a good mood.
