DIVA A project for more acceptance and self-love

There is more to Mannequine’s new track DIVA by songwriter Aristoteles Filipe than just an exciting melody to dance along to: It’s about identity, openness, acceptance and celebrating the art form of drag.

We want to live in a society that welcomes everyone, regardless of gender, race or religion. And yet, even in this day and age, it still takes courage to show your true self and live it out in public. Mannequine’s new track DIVA by songwriter Aristoteles Filipe aims to show exactly that: We humans embody more than just our looks, our sexuality or our way of life. Everyone is different, characterized by individual things, which is why we are proud to present this diversity. Aristotle Filipe, who has already written songs for Priya Ragu, Danitsa and Naomi Lareine, wants to celebrate the art form of drag with this track: Drag is a beautiful way to show that through dance, performance, fashion or other means of expression, everyone should be able to break free from society’s constraints and definitions. There is no right or wrong in self-realization. What counts is that we accept ourselves.

The track DIVA can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon Music, Deezer and Tidal.
